Jersey Cattle at 7B Farmstead

High-quality Jersey genetics for milk, offering family milk cows for homesteads and small dairies, and Jersey heifer calves for herd building and crossbreeding programs focused on maternal strength and production.

Our Jersey Program

At 7B Farmstead, every Jersey is pasture-raised, handled regularly, and selected for temperament, udder quality, fertility, and efficiency.

Our Jerseys are known for their calm nature, excellent milk production, and adaptability to a wide range of management systems — from homesteads to small dairies and crossbreeding programs.

Proven Milk Genetics

We select from lines producing rich, high-butterfat milk ideal for drinking, cheesemaking, and value-added dairy products.

Calm, Handleable Temperament

Our cattle are easy to manage, making them excellent choices for families, homesteaders, and small operations.

Built for Longevity

Balanced udders, sound feet and legs, and efficient feed conversion support long, productive lifespans.

Raised the Right Way

Pasture-based, mineral-balanced, and managed for long-term health rather than short-term production.

Breeding Approach

Artificial Insemination & Embryo Transfer (AI & ET)

Our breeding program is managed in-house for precision and consistency, with embryo transfer performed in partnership with a leading Montana embryologist.

Genetic Evaluation Tools

We use Right Choice and Right Mate systems to evaluate calving ease, growth, and maternal performance while avoiding genetic extremes.

Jersey Embryo Program

Focused on producing efficient, long-lasting dairy cattle with strong milk components and functional udders.

Current genetics include: Lady Lane Action Kahlúa × Victorious

Bred for Performance

We breed for fertility first, structural soundness, udder quality, calm disposition, and long, productive lives. Our program uses artificial insemination and selective breeding to continually improve genetics while prioritizing health, function, and temperament.
